Windows 95B, OSR2

If you’re using Windows95B (checked under Control Panel/System/General, version 4.00.950B) you’re using Operating Service Release 2 of Windows 95. If your system has Windows95 OSR2, you may have to turn off reverse DNS. To do this: Click Options, click Updates Tab and uncheck the Look up site names box. Also, do this within the reports you’re running (highlight the report, i.e. Complete Analysis, click Design, then go to the Options tab and uncheck the same Look Up Site Names box).

Windows 95 Windows Sockets 2 Update

This update consists of one file WS2SETUP.EXE. This file installs an updated TCP/IP stack, updated TCP/IP utilities and updated Winsock2 components. If you’re using Windows95B, you should download the Winsock 2.0 Update (from Microsoft)
