For Those Using Lotus Domino, Apache, NCSA or Netscape:
Using Hit List to analyze individual Access, Referrer
and User Agent logs.
Hit List has special support for Lotus Domino servers that
log to multiple text files. In the Options/Logfile Tab, simply
point Hit List to the Domino Access file, and Hit List will
automatically update the database with the Referrer and Agent
logs. See also the Using Lotus Domino Online Tech Support topic for more
information. (Other logs such as the Domlog, Cgi-Error and
Error will not be included.)
For older Netscape and Apache web servers, Hit List can only
import the main Access log, because there is no way of associating
the referrer and browser information with a certain request.
Please consult your Netscape or Apache documentation or go
to Netscape or Apache for more information on creating a log
file with integrated access, referrer and user agent information.
For a "complete" sample log file entry from one of these two
webservers, please see the Log
File Examples document in our Online Tech Support.
