Pilot Software named an Intelligent Enterprise "Company
to Watch"
"Pilot Software today announced
it has been selected by Intelligent Enterprise editors as
one of its 2006 "Companies to Watch". This recognition
from a highly-influential industry magazine comes on the
heels of high praise from several other important performance
management influencers, including Ventana Research and Aberdeen
Research. "To Pilot, performance management isn't about
putting lipstick on a BI pig. PilotWorks 2006 displays
a deep understanding of what really needs to happen",
said David Stodder, editor-in-chief of Intelligent Enterprise." "

PILOT SOFTWARE IN THE NEWS - 1 April 2006
Maximize IT to optimize performance, by Mark Smith, Ventana Research in Intelligent
Enterprise Magazine
"A rep from a multibillion-dollar insurance company recently
told me that the failed BI implementation on top of the firm's
$30 million data warehouse could bankrupt it. The CFO of
another large enterprise complained that a prominent BI vendor
had over-promised while its software and services had underdelivered."
"Performance management is a complex undertaking. [...]
Pilot Software is addressing these needs in an innovative
way, moving beyond basic scorecarding, goals and objectives
to performance-management workflow and approval processes
that help you gain insight into accountability and ownership."

PILOT SOFTWARE IN THE NEWS - 20 March 2006
Interview: Jonathan Becher, CEO and President, Pilot Software
by InsightExec 'There will also be changes in the market. Already CRM
vendors, such as Siebel, offer built-in analytics capabilities.
This
evolution will continue, reckons Becher. "In 5 to 10
years, every vendor will be a BI vendor. Everyone and everything
will be subsumed in BI and analytics," he argues. "But
we are not really BI. Our fundamental goal is to optimise
the harnessing of data for business ends. Over the next 5
years or so there will be a corporate mentality that is less
of 'do it faster' and more about do it more strategically." '
