PILOT SOFTWARE LAUNCHES ENTRY-LEVEL WEB ANALYTICS PRODUCT
Brings scalability and graphical path analysis to sub-£2500
market
Pilot Software has announced the availability of Pilot HitList
5.0 Lite, a web analytics solution for departmental and small
and medium business use. It is the first product in its price
category to provide graphical path analysis. It offers unrivalled
upgrade flexibility to eventually handle more than 10 million
page views per day and integrate fully with other corporate
databases.
Pilot HitList Lite allows companies to capture comprehensive,
accurate online data that can then be analysed either in isolation
or in conjunction with CRM and sales systems. Web analytics
is now the vital tool to enable businesses to understand how
customers use websites and how online and offline behaviour
correlate. It is also used increasingly to measure and prove
return on investment in online initiatives.
The product is available through Pilot European distributor,
ISSEL, and its channel partners, priced from £2,375.

Pilot HitList Lite is the latest in series of products based
on the Pilot HitList version 5.0 architecture. The new product
is suitable for companies whose internet traffic is growing
in importance with a consequent need to understand not just
the scale of traffic but also how this traffic affects other
aspects of the business. It includes graphical representation
of path reporting and makes it easier for business managers
to make fact-driven decisions by translating website navigation
paths into customer behaviour information. The product is
unsurpassed in terms of customisation at its price-point.
It includes DataLinking capabilities to look up information
from other company databases and customers can upgrade easily
to the mainstream Pilot HitList product to gain full external
data manipulation and integration capabilities.
The full version of Pilot HitList is now in use in more than
100 enterprise customers in the UK and worldwide. John Lewis
Direct uses the technology to analyse how people navigate
its website and Cheapflights has recently used Pilot HitList
to analyse traffic data and sources so that it could achieve
ABC ELECTRONIC audience measurement certification.
Pilot HitList Lite is designed for companies who have a site
which is initially generating up to 50,000 requests per day
and who need to start the process of integrating their web
activity into their overall marketing systems. It stores data
in a 2GB Microsoft Access database and has the ability to
carry out standard 'look-up' DataLinking to import external
data into Pilot HitList reports and also includes proxy server
reporting.

Three web analytics options are now available from Pilot

analytical requirements where web activity has greater impact
on overall business performance and where the reporting user
group is wider or the volume of traffic being analysed requires
an enterprise-level database.
