Unlimited exclusions and inclusions
Allows you to read an inclusion and exclusion file to specify
what you want to retain or exclude from the log files. This
way the continually growing list of robots can be excluded
as a first step towards compliance. This also allows you to
select only those logs that should be analysed.
Non-compliant visitor exclusion
Speeds data import by excluding ABCE non-compliant visitors.
User-Agent exclusions
Handles the full ABCE User-Agent exclusion list and optionally
excludes entries without User-Agents.
GET and POST requests
Optionally excludes all requests which are not handled by
the GET and POST methods, as required by ABCE.
Audit ready log files
Creates a set of ABCE audit ready log files so reducing audit
time and cost. The audit ready logs are placed in a specified
location so that the source data is still available.
Audit period selection
Allows selection of specific audit period to make sure that
only data for the relevant audit period is included.
Rapid processing
High performance operation processes hundreds of MB of log
files per minute avoiding bottlenecks.
Log manipulation/transformation
Enables you to manipulate the log file data to ease analysis
eg insert ABCE users into the the User field in the log files
or move some elements from one location in the log file to
another.
Daily Log break up
Can break-up logs covering longer time periods into daily
logs.
Log break up on lines
Can break-up big logs into multiple smaller logs after X number
if lines.
Merge hourly logs into daily
Can merge hourly IIS logs into daily to simplify maintenance.
Log cleaning
Removes unwanted control characters. Remove hacker break-in
activity.
Compressed log file workflow
Can process zipped log files and compress output and archived
log files. Simplifies log file mangement and saves valuable
disk space.
Handling of multiple web sites
The Log Companion Enterprise organises log files from any
number of web sites and processes them all at once with a
clear and easy to use interface.
Load balanced server facilitation
Merges log files from load balanced servers to simplify and
enhance analysis. Available on special request.
Multi web server support
Supports IIS 4, IIS 5, IIS 6, Netscape, Apache, Highwire
web server log file formats. Additional formats can be
